Painting a vinyl/leather footstool.

Heard that I can use Chalked paint to change the color of my dark brown footstool. Has anyone tried this, done this? Would appreciate input. Thnx

Oh yes, a little sanding and it might a couple coats but you will love the results.

chalk paint wears away quite easily if you don't use a sealant. But it's a gorgeous finish!
If its leather, I would use analine dye.
