How can I get rid of my stickers once and for all?

Have been treating these awful stickers on 1/2 acre of my 2 acres and they never are completely irradiated. Help!

What kind of stickers are you referring to? Cockleburs or goathead/grass burrs?

I use the roundup that is safe for grass on my thistle that I get from my neighbors yard. You have to make sure that the ones on the other acreage are taken care of also as the seeds will blow in the wind to the 1/2 acre that you are trying to clear of them. Do not let the plants go beyond the flower stage, remove the flowers before they go to seed. Make sure you soak it by the roots, or cut it off close to the ground and soak the stump. In order for the 1/2 acre to stay clear you need to control it on the other acreage.
