Can vinyl flooring be painted and if so what kind of paint/sealer?

I have used vinyls flooring for place mats. I painted designs on them using acrylic paint. Then two coats of varnish. They have been used everyday for 11 years and are still looking very nice.

Yes you can! Use Valspar Porch and Floor Latex Satin Enamel Paint. Here is a site where a woman did it. It turned out great.

Ok. Thankyou for responding. No shortcuts I guess. I will just have to replace it. It will be a pain. It is all glued down.
