The wheels are missing so it's resting on a single bar across the treadle making it uneven. What can I do to attach something on each leg that will raise it above the bar and usable as a table? The metal legs are "U" shaped where the wheels were originally attached. I don't know if there is enough metal to screw something into.

Hello Haug4; The easiest thing to try would be to have a handyman take a look at it, and see if he believes that he could attach something to the bottom, where the wheels once were.
Aside from that, what about trying those furniture coasters that were once under all furniture, especially sofas.. Check at Wal-Mart, I believe that I saw some there, fairly recently!! Good Luck! I hope that this helps you! Enjoy that Table!!
