  • All depends on where you live. I am in a very hot arid climate, so my roses drink far more water than others in a different climate. 100°+ heat and less than 10% humidity. Do you know what zone you are in?

Hello Donnia; I see that you live in the Sunshine state as I do!!

I have a soaker hose, that I have wrapped around the base of my Roses. It is a drip hose. I water my Roses daily, as they need the water, due to the heat which we have here!!

If you are new to Roses, Please let me know, and I will be thrilled to offer you some other tips, that I use! Take Care!

A lot. We had 8 ins of rain in 12 days here, and my roses loved every drop. That said, if they are in pots, with out drainage, beware. Soggy roots will kill a rose. With drainage, water once a wekk, slowly, till the water runs out the bottom. And banana peels, just under the top two inches of dirt or mulch. Roses love banana peels.

Much more than I expected! I'm in hot Central California and last summer my rose bush wasn't doing well. I asked a friend who is known for growing beautiful roses. She told me to put a hose on it for 2-3 hours, then she came by with some fertilizer. I hadn't watered it for more than 2-3 minutes at a time before that! Now that I know, it's blooming beautifully!

That depends on how much or how little rain you get and your temperatures. Roses like a lot of plants are thirsty so make sure if you have not had rain to water fist thing in the morning making sure the roots get the moisture.
