I prefer to only use natural products in my garden. In addition to avoiding chemicals, natural mulch compost s and improved the soil
Rubber mulch radiates heat if placed in a sunny location. If used with plants, it could "cook" them. If used in the right surroundings can be quite pretty.

I'd prefer not because it is a petroleum product that bleaches out. It radiates heat and yucky smell eventually. I think if you must use it, keep it out of the food garden.
We purchased it for under our play ground set...and have been pleased with it. We get really strong winds and it hasn't blown away. Our dog running through it sometimes carries pieces of it on the concrete, but we just sweep it back. The con is the price....:(
