Should I fertilize my lawn before or after I use a weed killer?

Or does it matter. I put in a new lawn last fall but still have a problem with dichondra.

Thanks Janet, ...tried that, dichondra is very hard to kill. I'm leaning towards fertilizer about a week after my weed treatment. I didn't now if there was a ' rule of thumb' about this.
Just a comment...too funny. A dichondra lawn was my dad's lawn of choice. He babied that lawn, didn't like anyone walking on it. I felt bad that during our nor cal drought, it became collateral damage...but the weeds survived. Good luck to you
Do not fertilize in the heat of midsummer.
I use a combination Weed and Feed by Scott's.
