the shower in my mother bathroom, cold water comes out great, but the hot water only trickily out of the shower head, or from the faucet, so taking a shower is like a kid washing their hands, not much water flow at all. i did change the shower head, but no difference at all. what is the other problem???

Okay, the problem could be at the valve. The some of the newer shower heads have this great feature that makes it so you cannot scald yourself and after a while it appears they get build up or just stop working. The valve is where the water pipes meet the handle/regulator where the water gets turned on and off. That may need to be replaced or just taken apart and see if it has build up from hot water. We had the same problem with this and had to replace it. Good luck

Yes, Renee is correct. The anti-scald device is hanging up causing the hot side not to flow as strong as you like. The fix is to remove the cartridge in the faucet and replace with a new one. Turn off water to house. Remove the handle and the screws that hold the round ring on the wall. There is a little U shape clip, careful not to drop it in the wall. Lift it up with needle nose pliers and off of the valve. Once removed the entire faucet cartridge should pull directly out of the valve assembly. Bring it to the local plumbing store or big box store for the exact replacement unit. They supply a grease with this new valve. be sure to put on all rubber areas of new valve before putting it back in. Replace the U clip and all the removed parts turn on water and enjoy! If you find you cannot pull the cartridge out of the wall when the U clip is removed, you will need to purchase a cartridge puller. They cost about $10 and simply screws into the faucet handle screw hole and by turning a knob it will pull the cartridge out easily.

Ok, while Yolanda is off fixing her shower, I have a question about mine. Every time someone is in the shower (me)and someone else (kids) flushes the toilet - I get scalded! Help me stop this! Please...

If you have one of these mixer or anti scald valves it should not do it. I can flush and my hubby in the shower and no screams. Look into it...
