Where is a good place to find and buy glass shelves for kitchen cupboards that are not to expensive

  • Unless you can find glass shelves at your hardware or home store that will fit, most places do not cut glass anymore. You will probably have to google glass companies in your area and give them dimensions to get estimates. Glass shelves are expensive. Good luck.

Could I not just get a pane of glass and cut it myself than sand the edges some how. Like they do for stained glass?
    • @Melissa Soucy You probably could but I can do many things and run just about every power tool but I have never been able to master cutting glass or mirrors. You may even want to check out thrift stores for glass and even old china cabinets with glass shelves that you could cut to fit. Then invest in a good glass cutter and try it. (maybe practice on a cheap window or mirror first). and the glass needs to be thick and strong or the shelves will warp and break easily.

Renee thanks for the response I have a stained glass store not far from me so I am going to check them out. I can cut glass no problem but I don't want the sharp edges and the store has a grinder to smooth the edges. I may be able to batter with them.

I have recycled old jalousy windows and used them as wall shelving. Looks like they are floating. I paired them with the white adjustable metal hardware strips and brackets that you can get at Lowes or Home Depot

I needed heavy glass shelves to hold potted plants in a window and another set to hold stacks of heavy glassware. Got just what I needed at an auto glass company--cut to size and with rounded edges!
