Your question got cut off, what happened to your squash plant?

My squash are beautiful one day then the next wilted and laying on the groun. I've tried keep the soul moist and they don't turn yellow from over water. Do you have any suggestions?

Perhaps you need to water them a little deeper. The only time mine have wilted was during a real hot spell and I didn't water one day and my peppers and squash looked wilted. I put my soaker hose on for an hour and when I turned it off the plants were already recovering. The rain from the evening before was not enough to keep the plants moist the next day.

Are the blooms withered or just gone? If gone, do you have rabbits or other small animals in the area? If they withered, they might be male blooms. I just learned that there are male and female blossoms. Check out this link:

    Squash blossom rot

Your in OK? Hot, hot, hot there right now? Try mulching under the plants to keep the roots cool. If it's dry there (I will happily send you the daily gully washers we have been have here in SC for the past 2 weeks) punch a hole in the bottom of a milk jug and bury it an inch or so in the ground next to the plant, fill it with water and place the cap on, not tight, just barely on. This will give a deep watering and the mulch will help to retain it. If you are using tap water, let a gallon sit out overnight to help remove some of the chlorine.

I agree with Allison about the mulch and the water jug is a good idea too. I use a soaker hose on my veggie garden and leave it on for about an hour or so when it is really hot and hasn't rained for a day or two in a decent amount. I also go by the plant that will wilt first if I haven't watered yet, my ghost pepper plant. It is always the first thing to wilt for some reason, nothing else, just that one plant.

I would guess that rabbits, groundhogs or deer are eating your blooms.
