That is a great tutorial from the blog. You could also choose to avoid the caulk at the end if you used these glass retaining clips to hold the glass in. A lot of people do that, especially with this style of clip: http://www.dlawlesshardware.com/s26-c712ac.html

Having worked for a cabinet company and knowing how cabinets doors are made, the if you have doors with a separate center panel, it is not removable. Not without taking the door apart or using a jigsaw to remove the center panel. This must be done without damaging the frame of the door. Then the thinner wood that is inside the center groove of the door would need to be removed. Next on the back side of the door you will have to remove some of the wood in order to get the glass into the groove, thus making the opening on the inside of the door slightly larger than the outside of the door. Glass suppliers have a vinyl strip that can be inserted into the panel after the glass in in place to hold it stable. The vinyl is easily removed to change out glass. It may be easier to just have matching frames made that will accept glass.
