I used fusion paint on mine. Light sanding to remove sheen, then paint. They also sell a sealer for protection. Very easy to use. I also distressed mine with their glaze. Available through Amazon, and online

First you must remove all doors and the hardware. Then all surfaces need to be lightly sanded until dull. use a tack cloth to wipe all clean and dust free. Painting can begin.

Follow Toms advice and to prevent brush marks, use a foam roller. Don't get in a hurry and load a lot of paint on it. A couple of thin layers of paint laid on in differ directions will give you a nicer finish.

Then follow Barbiefriend900's advice and use a sealer.

    I hope that helps

  • Prepare with TSP. This is hard to dissolve so use boiling water. Then sand lightly and use cabinet paint. You can roll or brush as needed.

After you've cleaned them, I'm a big fan of chalkpaint. Its already a big job but chalkpaint cuts out the task of sanding and priming Have fun!
