Outdated shower-how can I improve it?

HELP!! I have an outdated shower with gold trim that never looks clean and the decal on the door is partially worn off. How can I improve it short of buying a new one??

remove the decal, paint the trim.
Get rid of the decal. Do a new trim piece. Use a mix of vinegar and blue dawn soap to get the shower sparkling.
For around $25 you can go to one of the hobby shops and buy gold/bronze/silver/nickel leafing and the spray glue. Tape off your glass area and put on the leafing type you choose. Then seal it with any good sealer. This won't last forever but you can get a good couple of years of enjoyment out of it. Never scrub the leafing. Gently wipe down with a gentle cleaning product. This leafing idea is not for the interior of the shower but I assume you are concerned with the exterior appearance. I do not know what kind of decal you have and how it is attached but after finding a way to remove, try some glass etching to refresh your plain glass door. Be bold!
