Look at the horrible water damage done to these locations!!!!! This was caused by flooding and waiting too long to treat water damage can result in mold growth, which is hazardous to your health. To clean the water damage, it's important to use dehumidification and sanitization equipment and tools quickly before the water damage spreads.

I understand what you said about the mold and we have consulted with our insurance company and are waiting to hear back from them. We have already spent nearly $20,000 on this problem and are just not willing to pay another $20,000 for professionals to come in. I have been told by friends who are familiar with this issue that it is VERY expensive to have this done. We have been diligent with spraying and brushing with wire brushes and are nearly done. We have been doing this for about 2 weeks now and once we are done brushing, we go back and spray again. We just may have it inspected before the painter begins his work but I'm afraid the inspector will tell us we need their service and it will cost us way more than we can afford. We are waiting to see what our insurance company will do, if anything.
  • Since the post is more than a few months old I would not suggest anything as you must have already got rid of the mold and remediated everything. But I would definitely want to know what helped you recover the loss. How did you remove all signs of water damage from the place. Thanks for any replies.
