the plant you are looking for is Citronella plant, or sometimes called the mosquitos plant. I have had one in the past and didn't really see a difference. I think citronella candles work better. Also if you have an outdoor seating area where you are being bothered from mosquitos, you can always bring a fan outside. The bugs don't like the breeze!

i second the fan. You would need a lot of lemon grass or lemon scented geraniums. The best way to deal with skeeters is not letting them hatch in the first place. The need a source of water to lay their eggs in . Dump what collects water, or use misqueto granuals or dunks in water that you can't dump.

I had two citronella geraniums and bug zapper and it really did help. How many you use depends on the area you want to cover. No plants will totally keep them away, but will help. The only way to go is using more than one type of plant interspersed throughout the area you want to cover.

In addition to the above suggestions, mint and rosemary also work well.
