    Seeds should be started indoors roughly 6 - 8 weeks before the typical last frost of the area and transplanted outdoors when the daytime temps average above 70 degrees. For the last week before planting them outdoors permanently, acclimate them by slowly increasing the time of their exposure outdoors.
