How to remove old painted cabinet hinges?

    Use a regular screwdriver and a hammer. There probably paint in the groove in the nailhead. If you can't chip it out with just the screwdriver, use the hammer and tap the screwdriver in the groove to dislodge the paint. Once the paint is out of the groove, you can use the screwdriver to remove the screw. If the screw won"'t come out with just the screwdriver, try your electric drill to get the screw out. Hope this helps!

    I would crack the paint with a razor blade to loosen it.

  • you can try softening the paint with some nail polish remover then try scraping it away.
