Hello Bwilson; I normally use 666 for my grass, here in the south. I spread it on using a fertilizer sprayer which you push by walking it through the yard.
Also; I use fertilizer when I know that we will get heavy soaking rains. The grass always looks so much better this way!

No matter what the brand, the one with the highest nitrogen content does the greening.
