Hello Susan; I have used Epsom salts for my Roses. What I do is probably not the norm.....

I use plain, cheap granular Epsom salt, and I pour it out slowly around the base of each Rose bush. I use about 4 Tablespoons per bush.

You must water well, but I prefer to wait until I know that it will rain, and that way the salt is soaked into the ground!!!

If you have a soaker hose around your Roses, this is ideal, also.

I hope that this will help you!!! Take Care!!

  • Mix 1 tablespoon of salts to one gallon of water per one foot of plant. So, a 4 ft. rose bush would have 4 Tablespoons per gallon and then spray the plant and the ground around it. You should wait until the plant is done flowering for this treatment.
