Some place with a strong arbor/support.

and if it grows toward any trees... it'll kill em! Wisteria is a VINE (which can be made into a tree-like plant) but it's a tree killer.

Wisteria need to be planted in the spring or fall & need to be in full sun. It loves to climb & spread out so it needs to be planted in a area that has plenty of room to grow with as much sunlight as possible. 6 hours of sunlight a day is ideal. Wisteria will grow in most any type of soil & can be planted on any side of a home. It dosent matter if it's north, south, east or west. They are slow to flower but once they are well established they will grow into a beautiful covering for a covered porch or a arbor. Wisteria can last with proper care up to 50 or more years. They can grow over fenses too but will need additional support for the growth. Good luck!

Be careful, wisteria can pull down a weak arbor. Ours yanked a lattice arbor to pieces.
