How to Deodorize Your Carpets the Easy Way

Easy
You can easily and inexpensively deodorize your carpets simply with baking soda.
Simply
1. Sprinkle or sift over the desired area
You do not want people to walk over the area covered in baking soda so it can deodorize the area properly and so the baking soda does not spread to unwanted areas. I would suggest using a sifter so you can achieve a light, even dusting over the area.2. Wait a minimum of 30 minutes
You want to give the baking soda time to absorb the odors and any excess moisture. I would suggest sprinkling the area before bed so it has a long time to work, and people will not walk over it.3. Vacuum it all up
Just vacuum the carpet like you normally would, however if there is some baking soda that fell deep into the fiber, the skinny nozzle/baseboard attachment should pick it up easily.I would use this method as needed to keep your carpets fresh.
