21 Ways to Reuse Plastic Grocery Bags (Insulate Window Gaps and More)

Instead of throwing away all your plastic grocery bags, there are tons of ways to reuse them! From insulating window gaps to crocheting reusable bags, which would be a fun to do with the kiddos! I share all the other tips on the blog.
21 Ways to reuse plastic bags
Living in an old farmhouse, we have window frame gaps where cold air comes in. The picture is sort of dark, but you can see the gap.
Use a butterknife to push and fill in the gaps with the plastic bags. This is also a good idea to use prior to siliconing or caulking gapped spots. The plastic fills up space so you don't need to use as much silicone product.
Doing a paint job? In between coats, keep your brush wet and wrapped in a plastic bag to keep it from drying out.

I use them for pretty much all of this but with Christmas here: No tissue paper? Or would rather not waste paper? Cut up grocery bags into strips or however you'd like to place in gift bags. Crochet? Cut up just as you would cut t shirts to make t shirt yarn and use a large (like a 15mm) crochet hook to make sleep mats for homeless people. Hand them out as a light weight, washable (or shakeable shake of dirt etc.) sleeping solution for those less fortunate.
