What can i use to kill weeds in my lawn while seeding bare spots?

I would try white vinegar and water 50/50 with a dab of salt and a dab of soap and wait at least a week before attempting to patch the bare sport. Remember the process for an overfeeding is use a few inches of top soil,seeds,starter fertilizer and top with peat moss.
