Try using cuttings around 4 inches long or more, and clip them between the little "peas" that store water. You don't have to let them dry out and callus over at the bottom as their stems are rather fine, unlike other succulents. You can then plant the ends in about 2" of soil, pack the soil well around them and water generously but let them dry out between watering. Coil them up in the top of your planter until they root so they have support.
