Does covering and/or refrigerating grapes ruin their shelf life?

Grapes should be refrigerated to extend their shelf life. They should not be washed until they are ready for use due to the fact that excess moisture may cause them to spoil. I keep mine in a mesh bag in the crisper drawer and they do well for several days.

I don't, but then we usually eat them quickly. I do refrigerate vinegars, not because you "have to" but because it's supposed to prolong the flavor. I did find some info on wikiHow that indicates you should refrigerate grapes. http://www.wikihow.com/Keep-Grapes-Fresh

Grapes do not last long in my house and I personally prefer them cold and crisp to warm and mushy (very hot here.) Now curious to see what others have to say . . .

I like them cold, too, so I refrigerate. They do seem to last a bit longer.

And I like to freeze a bunch and snack on them on hot days. And I like to freeze a sliced banana to use in smoothies. 😇
