We love a thrift store project and this simple vase makeover fits the bill perfectly. We used Valspar Milk Glass spray paint on a Dollar Store vase. Nothing unusual there. We've seen hundreds of those! What makes this vase makeover unique is the use of a thrift store belt an an embellishment.
We love this project because anyone can do this, it's that simple. Spray a glass Dollar store vase with 4 or more light coats of the milk glass spray paint. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the next as you will get a much better finish this way.
Once the vase is completely dry, add a thrift store leather belt. We picked this one up at a local thrift store for 99 cents. No glue required. Just attach the best and cut off the excess with a scissors. I think a chunky belt would work well too.
Friends, it doesn't get simpler than this. Almost an instant makeover! Of course, if you don't care for the buckle, then you can just attach a strip from a leather belt, but then you will need some glue to attach.
We are loving our new belted vase! I usually say stop by the blog for more information, but there isn't more on this one, but if you like Dollar Store crafts, we have several on the blog! Stop by and say hello!
