Suggest how to hang wallpaper on ceiling?

I bought special wallpaper that looks like old-fashioned ceiling tin. It will make a vast improvement in the ceiling appearance. But, I have yet to put it up because I'm afraid it won't stick well and I'll end up with a huge stick mess. Anyone done this before and have suggestions?

Never seen anyone install Intaglio wallpaper on a ceiling. If I was to attempt this, I would make sure I have a friend help me. I think I would apply one panel, and use some painters tape to hold till dry, then add another panel at a time.

You could also, cut into squares, and apply some very fine molding over the seams for an interesting mosaic effect.... https://www.google.com/search?q=Intaglio+wallpaper&client=opera&hs=Mey&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjgpJjgh-HUAhUHS2MKHVFdCX4Q7AkIQg&biw=1366&bih=629#tbm=isch&q=mosaic+ceiling+treatments&imgrc=8c1rt-86_3KLMM:

You know this type of paper is meant to be painted? otherwise it might stain over time. I would at least give it a coat of white paint after up and dried well. If you do clear, be sure its a non-yellowing clear.

Thanks! Yes, I know should be painted. Planned to do it in metallic paint, which I bought.

I LOVE the idea of cutting it into squares, and I happen to have fine molding, which I bought for another ceiling project. Have some left over, which would be perfect to use! Thanks!

I did the same thing in my former farmhouse kitchen. Papering the ceiling isn't any different than doing the walls. It will take 2-3 people to get each piece up. Make sure you glue the paper well...do NOT rely on prepasted paper glue! Cut each piece to the length of your ceiling. You will need someone on each end of the piece and one person in the middle in order to brush the paper into place. Having done this I can tell you that it's very tiring working over your head, but the paper will look fantastic once it's done. I never had a problem with my paper lifting or sagging anywhere. Just be sure to apply ample glue. Have fun! Can't wait to see a picture when you get it done!
