An Entertaining Basement Remodel

A basement in a beautiful new home goes from bare bones to entertainment central with the addition of a lower level bar area. Complete with an island, this bar has beautiful finishes and more than a few kitchen conveniences.
The maple cabinets with onyx finish anchor the space, while the lighter finish on the island keeps the space from being too dark.
In additional to cabinet space, the back wall includes a wine cooler and a beverage cooler. Countertops are New Venetian Gold with a waterfall edge.
The seating side of the island is tiled with the same mosaic that's on the wall along with a larger porcelain tile. Tile along the seating side of the island looks great and ads durability.
The space benefits from layered lighting, including recessed lighting in the ceiling, pendants above the island, and dimmable undercabinet LED lighting.
The upper cabinets have staggered heights, which are visually interesting, and crown molding. Glass fronts on the middle cabinets show off the homeowner's barware.
The wall tile was designed and installed in a free-flowing style that enforces the relaxing, casual vibe of the entertainment space.
Clean up around the bar area is a breeze with the sink and dishwasher drawer. The island also includes a microwave drawer.
