Black and Whitewashed Butterfly Clay Pot

Decorate yourhome with this clay pot covered in a beautiful stamped butterfly pattern.
Project Instructions:
Step 1 Using a dry paintbrush, lightly brush white gesso around the outside of the pot, below the rim. Brush lightly and add layers, letting each layer dry in between.
Step 2 Lightly sand the pot to further distress the finish.
Step 3 Repeat the same technique for the rim of the pot using Beetle Black paint.
Step 4 Using the cling stamps without a stamping block, thoroughly ink the stamp, then carefully apply to the pot.
Step 5 Repeat until desired look is accomplished
Step 6 Seal with Martha Stewart Crafts® Satin Finish.
Tips: Use paint sparingly when painting the pot and layer until you have the look desired.
