I own a 5-acre property I call White Oak Acres located in SW Michigan that is dedicated to the birds, insects, butterflies' and other "helping” creatures. I've worked to create a critter friendly oasis and I provide food and water year-around. My land is a Monarch Waystation and a National Wildlife Federation certified property. Water is an important element for critters so I provide plenty of bird baths at various levels for ground feeders, flyers and more. I bought the sunflower shaped bath at Frank’s Nursery many years ago, found others at garage sales and cast several myself from cement and plant leaves. My bird haven is a labor of love that does not have to be expensive! Donna at White Oak Studio Designs and the Small House Big Sky Homestead.
