Aria's Room

by Danny Less
Aria's room was created by The Character Central. It features Raggedy Ann and her friends. The main part of the mural was painted on canvases so it can be saved into the future. The walls were painted as an extension of the painted canvases. All accessories in the room were found or made to match the theme. The Dresser had a canvas attached to the doors as an extension of the Fairy Tree. The owners did not see the room until they brought the baby home from the hospital.
The mural begins on the crib wall and turns into the back wall.
This shows the back wall with the canvas wrap on the dresser extending the Fairy Tree. Accessories can be seen on the floor under the window.
To the right are 3-40" wide x 30" high canvases showing all the Raggedy Ann characters in a row holding hands. To the left above the custom made changing table is a canvas of Raggedy Ann that has a kite across the ceiling pulling her.
This is the entryway to the bedroom. You immediately are absorbed into the theme with its rich colors and unique designs.

Victoria Thank you for the nice comments. I try to understand the clients emotional ties to the subject and create a room that gives the emotional response like you had. This mother went to her knees when she saw the room for the first time. That's the goal of what I do.
