get a plank of wood and nail a small piece across the top of it to hook on your window then cover it in rope, that way the cat also has a scratch post
Our cats live in our storage shed. They get in through the eaves. We propped a ladder up there. They are very adept at climbing the ladder.
Most likely the cat will want to land on the window sill, as they don't care to leap into the unknown. A small, but sturdy, table outside the window if it's pretty high, and some kind of shelf in the window to land on should do it. They are really good jumpers.
