I squeeze lemon or lime juice on the exposed portion of the fruit, wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Place in fridge.
Lemon juice is the best I have found for avocados.
Wax paper formed tight to the flesh and put in the refrigerator works well. Leaving the pit in also helps greatly!
