Brick pulling away from what? Chances are it is a maintenance issue?
If it was a recent poor installation job, look up your contractor on your State's Contractor Licensing Board, and file a complaint if he won't respond or fix the issue in a timely manner.
If the brick is pulling away from an outside wall it sounds like the contractor did not put tie-backs in as should have been done. Or, the base beneath the brick has eroded.
