Can I stain over stain to make it darker?

    absolutely, though remember that the bottom stain colour will blend with the new colour and not just cover it. I often use two or three stain colours together to get the colour I am looking for (or matching)

    Yes. Using the same color will make it darker. You shouldn't have to buy something new. Put it on and leave it for 20 min. - more or less - then wipe off anything that is left. It's a good idea to try it on a test piece to see how it's going to turn out before doing your actual piece.

    Hi Sue, Yes you can mix stain colors.Try the second color on a small part first. You may not get the result you're looking for. The first stain will always become a part of the second stain. Hope this helps you. Good luck

    Yes you can add multiple coats to get the desired depth of color, as long as there has been no varnish, poly or wax put on top.
