What to use to seal a sliding door outer edge for privacy?
We have handicap door widths and we replaced them with sliding barn doors. We've built up the inner frame however there's still about a inch gap when the door is closed.

Roseanna, Is there no way to build up the inner frame on the other side of the sliding door by an inch in order to seal that gap? Perhaps I could ask my cousin about it if I see him online. He is a builder and has installed sliding barn doors in homes between rooms. I'll check with him and see what he says ;)
Are you speaking of the distance from the barn door to the wall or is your opening too wide?
