Roseanna, Is there no way to build up the inner frame on the other side of the sliding door by an inch in order to seal that gap? Perhaps I could ask my cousin about it if I see him online. He is a builder and has installed sliding barn doors in homes between rooms. I'll check with him and see what he says ;)
