There are a few non-chemical things you can do.One is to buy a weed burner that burns them out.Another is what Janet Pizaro above said, which is a good chemical free solution. It is best to use the original blue Dawn dish soap for this, white vinagar and epsom salt.Hope this helps.God bless ☺

I would recommend boiling water poured on them. I had this exact same problem as you and my age is about the same. Each year they came back. Last year I did the boiling water poured over them and they died and then I pulled them and guess what. This year for once they did not come back. Just boil water in a tea kettle, when it's boiling take it out and pour it directly on the weeds.

You can buy a poly blend which they use for paver stones. You broom it into the cracks between the bricks. This stuff gets hard like concrete once it drys completely, the weeds should not make it through it. Good luck.

Ortho Groundclear is the best! It sterilizes the ground so that nothing grows, but be very careful not to get any on plants you want to keep. Mix one to one with water and either sprinkle or use a pump sprayer. I am also in my 70s and this worked really well for me. Good luck!

Use paver joint sand (such as PermaSand from Home Depot) to refill the cracks between the pavers every few years. Broom it into the cracks then spray lightly with water to set. Easy enough for my teenager to do but I also had the people who installed the pavers do it one year.

use salt or a vinegar and salt solution on the pathway to kill the weeds. Once dead, pull them out. You can repeat as necessary or purchase a polymeric sand to sweep into the cracks. The polymeric sand acts as a cement...while it doesn't eliminate, it certainly cuts dowbpn on the weeds

Clean out the debris and apply polymerized sand to the area
