How does one permanently eliminate gout weed.?

Pull out the paint tops and then pour boiling water on the new growth. If the gout weed is in an area where you won't kill plants near by, then you can use pure vinegar. I dig down a bit around the plant stem and pour pure vinegar into the hole. Both methods can take a while to completely rid the area of the plants but it's worth a try and better for the environment than chemicals.
