You can't stop the fingerprints (especially if you have kids or pets), but I get rid of them using Windex. I tried the stuff specifically for stainless steel appliances, but Windex works just as well for a lot less $$$$$.

Get some baby oil, put a small amount on a cotton rag and wipe a thin coat on the stainless, bye,bye fingerprints.
