Garbage disposal -it shoots water up!

Every time I use my garbage disposal in my double sink it shoots water up the other sink. Any way to stop this?

sound like your sink is partially clogged.
Could be pluged up at some point .
You may need to have an extension in the pea trap in the bottom. It may be too shallow for the water to flow fast enough......... or, you have a bit of a clog that's backing things up.
