I have used it on my shower doors that have a stainless trim and it is fine.

Yes, and when water spills or splashes on the sink, it will be easy to polish the sink again. But be aware that RainX leaves a film--that's what repels water. Eventually the firm will build up, and faster when you use it often. Most people say don't use it on your headlights because of the film. But you can decide for yourself. Best wishes 😇

the thing with rainx is that it can leave a residue and if you put food in there it can get into the food. Is your purpose to make it look cleaner? If so, try Bar Keeper's Friends, or even a paste of baking soda and water

I don't believe Rain-X is made for metal but there is a product called Gel Gloss Kitchen and Bath polish that works fantastic and will do the job you're looking for.

I wouldn't use it. I clean s/s with Barkeepers Friend in the spray bottle. Works wonderful and leaves a nice shine. I also use it in my shower stall and bathtub. Amazing product. Best of luck.
