Use boiling water poured directly onto the plant/root. This will kill the plant almost immediately, and you can pull it up right away. You can plant in that location within 15 to 20 minutes. PLEASE do not use a chemical spray (especially RoundUp) to kill weeds; it's toxic to every living thing on earth. Also, some recommend using salt, but this poisons the soil and prevents future growth.

  • Kill them all first, I use vinegar, then dig them all out and dispose. Or hire a local clean up crew to do for you. I just had a home on a 1/4 acre lot "cleaned up" trees trimmed, etc. for $500. Place looks amazing now.

Hello Usha; I dig up my weeds!! That way, you have a better chance of them not returning.

    Good Luck!!

Mix 2 cups white vinagar,1 cup epsom salt and 1/4 cup regular blue Dawn.If you plant to plant in that same spot later, you can leave out the salt or if there are plants close by you don't want to die.Mix this up well and spray it on the roots of the weeds and/or plants you want to kill.
