How do I make a hydrangea bush bloom?

I have a Hydrangea bush that refuses to bloom, no matter what. I've fertilized, trimmed it short, trimmed it long and even used Epsom salts on it. Should I just give up? It has very healthy leaves. The only thing left to do is move it. I have another about 10 feet from that one and it blooms every year but does not look healthy. It doesn't have a lot of blooms, maybe two or three all season.

Did it use to bloom or never did? Have you checked location, soil, light, shade? Amount of water?? Carina
Njohn8161 --WHEN are and WHY are you trimming it? Many tips "On-Line" as how to take care of them. Different kinds demand different conditions. Good Luck. My old fashioned plants, especially this year with all our rain, are many and beautiful.

Hydrangeas bloom on year old growth. If you trim them every year your wrong. Let them grow for a season then trim off last years growth.
