I've heard it might be tricky. Is it true? What is the best way to that? It's this year's plant. No flowers yet.
Wisteria is a very invasive and fast growing plant. It will survive for quite a while in a large plant pot, but may need to be replanted at a later date into the ground.
Can't you just keep it in the big pot and stunt it by cutting it back. I so love Wisteria and want one as well, but would want it on my patio in a pot.
It will survive in large pot.
all plants reguardless will have to be re-potted in a larger pot.
It will survive in a pot but be careful when you remove it from it's current home. Try to not disturb the roots as much as you can. Also take care with the soil in it's new home. Add sand to the soil. That will help with water retention. I would not add manure to the soil. The plant may go in to shock when replanted and manure may burn it. You can use something like Miracle Grow 4 - 6 weeks down the road. Hope this helps you.
