Create a chic minimalist makeup vanity! This project is super simple to do with common materials and won't break the bank. Using materials in a different way to create a budget friendly space of your own.
Start by clearing your space and gathering only the minimal amount of makeup needed for your daily beauty routine.
Mount storage tower to the wall above or next to vanity table
  • Hold tower up to the wall to the desired placement
  • Mark 4 points where the tower will hang securely
  • Use dry wall anchors and screws at 4 points
Depending on your walls, or if you are able to find a stud, use anchors to hold the tower securely.
Hang storage tower and adjust the screws to securely hold the tower in place.
Hang a decorative canvas or piece of artwork to set the mood or make a statement! Use the appropriate tools and hardware to mount above vanity table. I used two nails on each end to hang my canvas.
Organize your makeup brushes. Only place your frequently used brushes at arms reach on the table. Repurpose a mason jar for a stylish look!
Organize your makeup necessities in small boxes or containers. These are from http://www.theankit.com. Super adorable nesting boxes!
Clean and Re-Organize
  • Wipe down makeup organizers/drawers with damn cloth
  • Wipe down makeup products, compacts, etc. (you'll thank me!)
  • Deep clean or spot clean makeup brushes
  • Organize makeup into like categories (eyes, lips, face, etc.)
Place frequently used items such as brush cleaner, moisturizer and sprays on tower. Displaying them neatly makes all the difference!

How my tower is organized:
  • Top Tier: Decorative succulent plant and vase
  • Middle Tier: Brush cleaner, moisturizer, makeup sprays, extra brushes
  • Bottom Tier: Box of makeup compacts, false eyelash boxes, foundation
Set up vanity table top!
  • Center your vanity mirror
  • Place brushes next to makeup organizer
  • Have frequently used items nearby (foundation, palette)
  • Add a stylish accent piece for decor (succulent plant)
Add a stylish vanity chair or ottoman! *Ottomans work best for smaller spaces to tuck underneath the table. I used an extra ghost chair and added a touch of sophistication with a white faux fur pillow!
I hope you enjoyed this easy and affordable DIY minimalistic makeup vanity!
