How to Force Branches for Indoor Spring Beauty

15 Minutes
Easy
It's so easy to bring some spring blossoms indoors. Grab your clippers and head on outside, then watch the magic happen.

Forsythia is probably the easiest to force - all they need is some warmth to force them. (photo - www.marthastewart.com)
Cut branches at a 45 degree angle, then stick in a bucket of warm water.
Before putting them into their permanent home, smash the cut ends to allow for better water reception.
Choose any flowering shrub or tree - forsythia, magnolia, birch, flowering quince, cherry blossom, flowering almond - the list is endless.
