Replacing cabinet shelves

  • I have small kitchen cabinets with 3 shelves placed equal distance apart. Will I be able to remove the shelves and replace them, so there is a wider shelf on bottom for using stacking shelves for easier to reach plates, cups, glasses, bowls and a shorter shelve for items used less often and a small shelf above it for platters and serving dishes?

  • How are the shelves attached? That will give you the answer right there. If they are fixed, non adjustable shelves, you can always hire a handyman or contractor to modify for you.

If they aren't fixed in place, you can always buy some L brackets, flip them over and attach them and put your shelf on those. You would probably need 4 for each shelf.
