If you can't find some old siding at a salvage shop then think creatively about a piece of artwork that could fit in the space. Use some old boards in a clever design., especially since reclaimed wood is all the rage
Good question Diane. You certainly wouldn't want any critters getting in there or moisture. You might have to replace your siding. Sorry, not much help.
Stucco it into an alcove and possibly put up a wall sculpture or nothing.
