Need ideas on what to fill a spot on outside of house

A window has been removed from the house and now the outside has a huge spot with no siding. The old siding is very thin and wider than most. Any ideas on how to make this spot attractive since we can't find siding to match the original?

If you can't find some old siding at a salvage shop then think creatively about a piece of artwork that could fit in the space. Use some old boards in a clever design., especially since reclaimed wood is all the rage
Good question Diane. You certainly wouldn't want any critters getting in there or moisture. You might have to replace your siding. Sorry, not much help.
Stucco it into an alcove and possibly put up a wall sculpture or nothing.
Use different siding and frame it and make it a focal point instead of an eyesore.
Exactly; with painted wood you can have one of the popular "barn quilt blocks" covering that bare spot.
