I need to have a backyard make-over, and my first project is to contain my garden to free it from weeds.

I used recyled, pressure-treated lumber we had on hand from a deck repair. It's held up for years.

I like the plastic edging, and you can add to this or cut this shorter, it is up to you. It comes in black and green colors, Best wishes, J.

You can use rocks, boulders, bricks, pavers, etc. You can also use a straight edge shovel and dig out a trench around your garden. I saw pictures where someone used wine bottles turned upside down to border their garden. It just goes to show, you can use almost anything.

It really depends on the size of your garden. Some edging is kind of expensive, but if you don't need a lot it's okay. I kind of favor the old-fashioned cement edging blocks, with a mowing strip on the outside. They come in straight and curved pieces.
