Scotch broom is an invasive plant that our state spends big bucks to eradicate,. When I moved in chopped the one here and killed it.

Thanks Sharon! While invasive by you, they sell them at NJ garden stores. I have had them for 4 years now but they have grown quite large Within the last year. I still like them, especially when in full bloom, but they need to be controlled. I read that if you cut them when mature, they may die and I want to avoid that.

WA State has them all over, they are a pest and we spend oodles of money to get rid of them. And if you have allergies, they are the plant from hell.

They are an invasive weed here in WA and are very pervasive. My family is highly allergic and dread seeing them every Spring. I can't believe this weed is being sold!! I guess that's one way to get rid of them is by selling them to NJ😆
